Maybe it's a Silicon Valley thing for me. I grew up watching the internet boom change the World, slowly at first. But even at 1200 baud modem speed we knew this was huge. Only to be stalled by the sexual affair of the President being frontpage news for what was it, two and a half years? That was a cold lesson in politics and the media. And then we get W and wars, the Greenspan Fed and Wall Street collapse. After all that, the problems that are outraged here daily seem insignificant. We're lucky to have such problems.
